This book is a poignant story of diagnosis, fear, agency, and healing through food.
What began as a love of cooking quietly transformed into something much deeper when I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids. With three significant tumors and surgery strongly suggested, I knew one thing for certain: I wanted to explore another path first.
So I did what I know how to do.
I researched. I cooked. I paid attention.
And I began telling the truth.
Inside these pages are over 50 nourishing food recipes that are fibroid-conscious, along with 11 raw chapters from a version of me trying to make sense of her chaos. From cozy, grounding drinks to bold, satisfying meals like my Jalapeño Frico Burger, this book serves as part memoir, part kitchen companion, and part homecoming.
You don’t need to have fibroids.
You don’t need to be a woman.
You just need to be human.
This is an invitation into self-care cooking, exploring food as a form of self-care, curiosity, and reconnection.

Who am I ~
About the Author ~ I am a writer, cook, podcaster, and a woman who has navigated the journey of falling apart and rebuilding myself more than once. Through my lived experiences, I’ve discovered that good food, especially when shared through favorite food recipes, along with honest reflection and time in nature, can truly change your life. My work focuses on self-trust, nourishment, and the quiet power of healing through food and self-care cooking—choosing yourself again and again. I live in North Carolina with my dog, Merebella.
